Uniform Rules
Students of Vidyasagar College of Education are expected to maintain a neat, decent, and professional appearance, reflecting the dignity of the teaching profession.
- Students shall wear the prescribed College uniform, if applicable, on all working days and during official programmes, teaching practice, internships, seminars, workshops, examinations, and other institutional activities.
- The uniform must always be clean, neat, and well-maintained.
- Students shall wear their College Identity Card while on the campus and during all College-related activities.
- Wearing inappropriate, flashy, or indecent attire inside the College premises is strictly prohibited.
- Students participating in school internships, educational visits, or official events shall follow the dress code prescribed by the College.
- Any exemption from the prescribed uniform shall require prior permission from the Principal or the competent authority.
Leave Rules
Students are expected to attend all classes and academic activities regularly. Leave shall be granted only under genuine and unavoidable circumstances.
- Students shall maintain the minimum attendance prescribed by the affiliating University, NCTE, and the College.
- Leave applications must be submitted in writing to the Principal through the concerned faculty/mentor before availing leave. In case of emergencies, the application should be submitted immediately after resuming classes.
- Leave on medical grounds must be supported by a valid medical certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner if the absence exceeds the period prescribed by the College.
- Students representing the College in sports, cultural events, seminars, workshops, NSS, or other officially approved activities shall be treated as being on duty, subject to prior approval.
- Leave during examinations, teaching practice, internships, practical examinations, or other compulsory academic activities shall ordinarily not be granted except under exceptional circumstances with the approval of the Principal.
- Students returning after a long absence may be required to produce supporting documents and obtain permission from the Principal before attending classes.
- Habitual absenteeism, unauthorized leave, or irregular attendance may result in disciplinary action or disqualification from appearing in University examinations as per institutional and University regulations.
- The Principal reserves the right to approve or reject any leave application based on the merits of the case, and the decision shall be final.
