Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the B.Ed. Programme at Vidyasagar College of Education, affiliated to BSAEU (The West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training, Education Planning and Administration), is governed by the norms and regulations prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the State Government of West Bengal, the West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal, and BSAEU. The eligibility criteria are subject to revision whenever notified by the competent authorities.
General Eligibility
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree from a recognized University.
- Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree examination.
- Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics must have secured at least 55% marks, or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the competent authority.
- Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD, EWS, and other reserved categories shall receive relaxation in marks as per the rules of the Government of West Bengal and the applicable regulations.
Subject Eligibility
- Candidates must have studied the relevant subject at the Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate level as prescribed by BSAEU and NCTE for admission to the chosen teaching methodology.
